What is Antiphospholipid Syndrome?

Sjogren’s Syndrome is an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system attacks the glands that make tears and saliva. This leads to dryness, mainly in the eyes and mouth. It can happen on its own or along with other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.

  • Swelling of the salivary glands (sides of the face or under the jaw)
  • Joint pain or stiffness
  • Feeling very tired or low on energy
